I used the Fujifilm X-M1 with the Minolta lens (f1.7/50) to make this picture of the Fujifilm X-T1 with the Fujinon 18-55mm lens.

The Fujifilm X-T1 with the new processor and x-trans sensor is one of the best high-end mirrorless camera on the market (2014).  More and more professional photographers using the X-T1.  Amazing sharpness, best ISO handling, Wifi, good focus speed and focus tracking. Great for portraits, events, outdoor, food and product shots.

You should not buy the X-T1 if you are in the sports business or you like to work in the automatic mode or different programm mode (sun, night, indoor, snow, etc...).

Here you can read a good comparison of the X-E1 (the old one) vs. Nikon D800.  Below a short summary:

COMPARISON FUJIFILM X-E1/T1 vs NIKON D800

Dimensions and weight
Point for the Fuji X-Series.
FujiFilm X-E1: 129x74.9x38.3 mm, 350 grams
Nikon D800: 146x123x81.5 mm, 1000 grams

Price
Point two for the Fuji X-Series. Comparing the X-T1 with the D800 the X-T1 (Body) is 1.000€ cheaper.

Resolution and Sharpness
The Nikon has 36mpix versus 16mpix of the X-Series. So if you do galerie prints the first choise is the Nikon. But in detail the pictures  from the X-Series are sharper, especially with wide open aperture.

High ISO and Noise
The image quality of the X-Series is incredible. Comparing the Fuji with the D800 on ISO 6400 the noise reduction of the fuji is outstanding. And the X-Series can do more than ISO 6400.

Viewfinder
For those which never have tried the real live viewfinder. Go and test it. It is really "what you see is what you get".  The viewfinder let you see the picture with your settings before the pictures is made.  This is one of the exciting advantages comparing to a DSLR.

Focus Speed
This point goes to the Nikon.  At the moment.  In December, 18th there is a new  software release available which increase the focus speed of the X-Series.

Focus Points
The X-Series have focus points across the entire frame and you have the ability to increase the size of the focus area. This is - comparing to any DSLR - a big advantage.

Bottom line
I dont want to say the X-T1 is the better one. The X-T1 is not worse. She is cheaper, lighter and yeah... she looks so cool and to work with the X-T1 makes real fun at all.
